Trailing at halftime, the Thompson Tommies defense and rebounding keyed their second half comeback for a 60-51 win over the Ada-Borup-West Cougars. In the first half the Cougars outside shooting put them ahead as they made six 3-pointers in the half for a 29-22 halftime edge. In the second half Thompson nearly tripled the rebounding totals with a 20-7 edge while forcing 11 second half turnovers and only allowing the Cougars to make one additional 3-point shot. That helped spark a 20-5 scoring run for the Tommies that gave them a 39-38 lead 2ith 2:39 to play in the third quarter. The lead would not change hands the remainder of the contest with the Tommies defense holding the Cougars to just seven points in the fourth quarter.
