The Fosston Greyhounds improved to 27-2 with a 54-35 win over Mahnomen/Waubun in the Section 8A Quarterfinals at Thief River Falls. Brynlea Mahlen and Lexi Mahlen each scored 14 points for the Greyhounds while Vanessa Johnson hit three 3 pointers and scored 11 points for Fosston. Lexi Pazdernik led Mahnomen/Waubun with 14 points as the Thunderbirds end their season at 9-19. Maddie Bass and Peyton McArthur Gordon each added 7 points for the Thunderbirds. Fosston will face Kelliher/Northome at 7:45 pm on Wednesday in the Section 8A semifinals.
