Farm Bill Extension Passed
The United States House of Representatives avoided a government shutdown yesterday and were able to pass a resolution that will keep the government funded and open. Included in this resolution was a Farm Bill extension and that means that the House will have close to a full year to come up with a new bill. The Farm Bill is now due to expire on September 30 2024 and is an extension of the previous bill. The Farm Bill passed in the House of Representatives on a vote of 336 to 95 and in the senate 87-11. The funding bill will now go to President Joe Biden’s desk for finalization.
