Farm Land Values continue to remain high
Despite an increase in interest rates farmland value has continued to remain strong and have not depreciated in price. Farmers National Company Senior Vice President Matt Gunderson explains why he thinks this is the case.
Gunderson also says that the high number of specialty crop opportunities in the region is also a reason for these strong land values.
Gunderson also explained what this high land valuation means for renters in 2024.
Despite the high land prices the purchasing of farmland has not slowed down with a recent land auction in Pembina County fetching $17,500 per acre with over 30 different bidders. In total the 320 acres of land went for $5.6 million which is a North Dakota record on the per acre amount.
