FERTILE, MN—Over the last several months, the Fertile City Council has mulled over the possibility of selling the Fair Meadow Nursing Home, which the City owns.  At Tuesday’s June meeting, the Fertile City Council hired Diversified Real Estate Services of Minneapolis to determine what the nursing home is worth.  Fertile City Administrator Lisa Liden:

Also on Tuesday, the Fertile City Council approved a meeting decorum policy, which is meant to reduce interruptions from audience members at council meetings.

Liden says the new decorum policy will also allow for ten minutes of public comments at council meetings, as opposed to the current five minute limit.

The Fertile City Council also approved a request to seek proposals for an audit firm, as Eide Bailly has canceled its agreement with the City.  And a planned addition to Fertile’s Nature Center is now on hold because both bids the City received were much higher than expected.
