Fertile City Council meets for last meeting of 2024 

The Fertile City Council met for the final time of 2024 at their meeting on Monday night. One item on the agenda that required action was a land donation. Fertile City Administrator Lisa Liden explains what was being donated, and why. 

The City also had to come to a resolution on a cannabis licensing delegation, and Liden explains what this was about, and what the council decided. 

Finally the council proposed a code amendment that would be finalized at the council’s next meeting in January. Liden explains what this code is about, and why the council wants to change it. 

Other items from the meeting included a monthly update on Fair Meadow Nursing Home financials, the donation of the mayor’s salary for a new sandbox at city park, to Smiley’s Rescue, and the Fertile Fire Department.
