Growing Better Soybeans 

Norman County Ag Day was on Wednesday, and one of the presenters was Minnesota Extension Crop Educator Dr. Angie Peltier whose presentation was on Growing Healthier Soybeans. Dr. Peltier started out by discussing the Soybean Aphid Threshold. 

Dr. Peltier also talked about the importance of scouting, when it comes to fighting diseases like Soybean Aphid, and she highlighted some of the best management practices you can do while scouting. 

Two things Dr. Peltier says you need to consider when managing Soybean Aphid is whether it’s resistant to certain pesticides, and broad spectrum. Dr. Peltier tells us more. 

Finally, Peltier says it’s important to go and consistently check back on how your pesticide is working.
