Handling The First Snowstorm Of The Season
Wednesday’s work day started early at the Norman County Highway Department. With the first snowstorm of the season on the horizon, snow plow drivers were ready to get the roads cleared. Norman County Highway Department Engineer Keith Berndt says preparations began weeks ago.
Berndt says the Highway Department’s equipment could use an easy winter like last winter.
And if you’re wondering why streets in a city like Fargo or Grand Forks get cleared faster than Ada, Berndt has the answer.
Berndt says Wednesday’s snow removal was “pretty routine” and he reminds drivers to be cautious when approaching a snow plow on the roads.
