At the meeting, they spent some time discussing a proposed a food truck ordinance, which would require food trucks to file permits with city hall before doing business in the city. Hillsboro City Commission President Terry Sando says they are still working out the final details of the ordinance.

Sando also brought up the topic of snow removal. He notes that they’ve had difficulty getting cars moved or off the street during some of the recent major snow events and they will be looking into strengthening their ordinances to assist with that.

The Hillsboro City Commission will have their snow removal ordinance up for discussion at their next meeting on January 18th.

Also on the agenda for this past week was the employee handbook. One of items debated was to handle a situation where a supervisor is also an immediate family member of an employee.
