Hillsboro Public Schools Review Cybersecurity and Technology
The Hillsboro Public School Board met in regular session Thursday morning.
Current Hillsboro Elementary Principal, and incoming superintendent, Jon Dryburgh presented the first draft of the district’s new Computer Science and Cybersecurity Integration Plan. The plan does not include any additional courses, but rather focuses on integrating corresponding standards to already existing curriculum. The board approved the first reading of the draft.
Along those same technological lines, the board approved proposed technology upgrades for the 2024-2025 school year. The board also approved various salaries for the next school year.
The board also discussed multiple topics, including coaching and personnel and summer projects for buildings and grounds. Superintendent, Paula Suda, also informed the board that there will be five candidates for the upcoming school board elections in June.
The next school board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 9th at 7:30am in the high school library.
