Hillsboro School and Community Working Together to Find Solutions Amidst Budget Cuts
About 100 people attended Thursday night’s Hillsboro Public School Board special meeting. The district, faced with around $500,000 in budget cuts for the next school year, has multiple options on the table. The board fielded public comments, questions, concerns, and ideas from over 20 students, staff, and community members.
Superintendent Jon Dryburgh was pleased with the results of the special meeting.
Despite the positivity during the meeting, Dryburgh says the ultimate decisions are now becoming harder and harder to make.
At this time the board is set to make their decisions at their next meeting on January 9th at 7:30 am in the high school library. However, that may change based on board consideration. You can hear our full interview with Dryburgh below:
