Ice house removal deadline fast approaching 

The 2024/2025 Ice Fishing Season is coming to an end soon, and fishermen are reminded about some important deadlines fast approaching. Minnesota DNR Fisheries Supervisor Nathan Olson reminds us about the upcoming ice house removal deadline. 

Olson also says fishermen will have to get new fishing licenses, as the 2024/2025 season is coming to an end today. 

While the ice is still very thick in some areas, Olson reminds lake goers removing ice houses from their lakes to always be checking ice thickness, as the recent temperatures is melting the ice rapidly in some areas.
