Lake Bronson Drawdown To Begin
The Minnesota DNR will partially draw down the water level of Lake Bronson, in Kittson County, beginning next week. The partial drawdown, which will reduce the water level by four feet, is necessary to allow DNR engineers to inspect the Lake Bronson Dam and ensure it will be ready if there’s extra fall precipitation. This partial drawdown will serve as the first stage of a near total drawdown of Lake Bronson for the dam replacement project that is expected to begin this fall and be finished by July 2027.
