Lake Park American Legion Update
LAKE PARK, MN—In March of 2022, a fire destroyed the Lake Park American Legion. The building was a total loss. Now work has begun on a new home for the Legion at the same location. Karen Erickson, adjutant of American Legion Post 181, talks about the progress.
But Erickson says it will be a while before the new Legion can open its doors.
Erickson says many people in Lake Park are waiting for the new American Legion to open.
American Legion Post 181 has held a number of fundraisers to pay for rebuilding the Legion. And they have one coming up on Sunday, June 25, called Build Back Better. There will be a silent auction and bake sale, prizes, food and a raffle. R&J News will have more on the Lake Park American Legion’s Build Back Better event as we get closer to that day.
