Legislators Introduce the Minnesotans with Disabilities Act
On Tuesday afternoon a group of bi-partisan lawmakers introduced the Minnesotans with Disabilities Act, that would help reinforce Minnesota’s disabilities laws. Minnesota Representative Kim Hicks (DFL- Rochester) tells us more about the legislation.
Bill co-sponsor Representative Danny Nadeau (R-Rogers) speaks more on the bill, and why it was important for Democrats and Republicans to work together on this bill.
If passed, the Minnesotans with Disabilities Act would simply enshrine federal protections of reasonable accommodation for people with disabilities into Minnesota state law.
