Mahnomen City Council Meets

The Mahnomen City Council held its July meeting on Monday. The Council approved a proposal from Braun Intertec to evaluate the pavement as part of the Main Street and Washington Avenue improvement project.  There was discussion about adding a sand volleyball court to the City’s mini park.  The discussion was tabled with plans to talk about this with the Mahnomen Tribal Community Council.  Mahnomen City Administrator Taylor Guenther announced the City was awarded a $90,000 grant from the Blandin Foundation for rural placemaking…as well as a $66,750 grant from the Minnesota DNR for River Park renovations.
