Mahnomen, MN — Construction of the new Mahnomen County Human Services building in downtown Mahnomen will soon be getting underway. The Mahnomen County Board of Commissioners approved a bid of $458,000 from Bradburry Stamm Construction Winkelman LLC for the remodel of the former United Valley Bank building. Mahnomen County Administrator CJ Holl says it’s a great project for the community as it provides adequate space for their county workers, repurposes an existing building, and provides a big boost for downtown Mahnomen.

Once that remodel is complete and the Human Services Department moves in, then begins the process of renovating the courthouse to allow their county attorney offices to move back in there, according to Holl.

The Mahnomen County Board of Commissioners also approved HVAC updates for the courtroom, which should be installed sometime in the next few weeks.
