MasterChef Junior Contestant, Alfred Eggermont, Shares Experience with R & J Broadcasting
A now regional celebrity stopped by the KRJB-Hillsboro studios Wednesday. Recent MasterChef Junior contestant, Alfred Eggermont of Binford, ND, shared his experience with R & J Broadcasting.
Eggermont tells R & J News he learned even more about cooking and he’s grateful for the friendships he’s made with his fellow contestants. He gives advice for future young cooks.
Eggermont, the first ever MasterChef Junior contestant from North Dakota, finished in sixth place. He encourages all young home cooks in North Dakota to apply for future seasons. His goal is to operate a food truck and have his own cookbook. As he is only twelve, he’s keeping his schedule light but will be a judge in Galesburg’s pork butt cookoff this summer. In addition to cooking, he enjoys sports, playing with his friends, and helping out on the farm. You can listen to the full interview below:
