Minnesota Agriculture Commissioner leads trade mission to Morocco
Minnesota Agriculture Commissioner Thom Petersen recently returned from a six day trade mission to Morocco in an attempt to build a stronger trade relationship with the North African country. Petersen says that he thinks Morocco could be a major market for Minnesota grown products and trade.
Petersen says that the University of Minnesota has played a huge role in starting these connections and discussions. Petersen is also confident that this could also help open trade to other African countries.
Minnesota exported over $13.5 million in ag products in 2023.
