Minnesota Deer Rifle Season Recap 

The 2024 Minnesota Deer Rifle Season wrapped up earlier this month, and harvest numbers are promising. Minnesota DNR Wildlife Supervisor Rob Baden says this year’s season went well, and that the buck harvest saw increases across the board. 

Baden also explains why the decrease in the amount of does harvested is actually a good sign for the deer herd moving forward. 

However, Baden says not everything was positive this deer season, as there were multiple accidents reported across the region, including one hunting related death. 

Baden says conservation officers across the state also reported a lot of violations, and he highlights some of the ones that were reported the most.
