Minnesota Senate holds meeting regarding Relative Foster Care System
The Minnesota Senate’s Legislative Task Force on Child Protection recently held a meeting regarding Minnesota’s relative foster care system. During the meeting the committee heard a presentation from Joanna Woolman who is a part of the Institute to Transform Childhood Protection, which is an organization looking to influence change in the Minnesota relative foster care system. Woolman explains her organization and what they’re trying to change.
The Senate committee did raise questions regarding relatives who have surrendered their parental rights in the past and Woolman explains what they’re trying to change for that as well.
