MN House Republicans Ask For Investigation Of Hennepin County Attorney’s Office

Minnesota’s four Republican members of the US House have asked the House Judiciary Committee to investigate the Hennepin County District Attorney’s office.  Representatives Michelle Fischbach, Tom Emmer, Pete Stauber and Brad Finstad have asked specifically about the investigation into Minnesota State Trooper Ryan Londregan.  As you may know, Londregan is charged with second degree unintentional murder and other charges for using deadly force in the death of Ricky Cobb II in July 2023. The letter states “The developments of this case are concerning and point to a deliberate attempt to use the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office to target members of the law enforcement community. We believe that this is a flagrant example of a problem that your committee has been committed to exposing this Congress: the weaponization of government.”
