MN Republicans preview proposed Legislation that would increase taxes
Minnesota Senate and House Republicans called a press conference on Monday to highlight and oppose proposed legislation that would raise taxes for Minnesotans across the state. Senate Minority Leader Mark Johnson led off by highlighting what he claims is past “government overspending”, and the impact this has had on Minnesotans.
Representative Greg Davids (R – Preston) spoke in opposition of a Gas Tax that would affect all Minnesota drivers.
Representative Jim Nash (R-Waconia) opposed and discussed a bill that would constitutionally amend a sales tax to prop up housing.
