News On Mahnomen Medical Center Bonding Request Could Come This Week

During an appearance on KRJB’s Kaleidoscope program, Mahnomen County Administrator CJ Holl said he’s hoping for some good news this week.  Governor Tim Walz is expected to announce his priorities for the state’s bonding bill on Tuesday…and funding for a new Mahnomen Hospital is something Holl has been pushing for.

Mahnomen County, the City of Mahnomen and Mahnomen Health Center are asking for $30 million to replace the aging hospital and nursing home. State lawmakers visited the hospital last summer to see for themselves why Holl and other local officials are asking for the bonding.
