Norman County Commission permanently closes Norman County Jail
The Norman County Commission voted to permanently close the Norman County Jail at the commission’s meeting last Thursday. Norman County Commission Chair LeAnn Hall explains why they decided to close the jail, which was closed temporarily due to COVID-19.
Hall says the commission also voted on the formation of a new water district during their road, and bridge update.
Lastly Hall says the commission also had a conversation with public health regarding the purchase of a new sign and a potential building renovation.
The Norman County Commission will meet next on Thursday, August 1.
