Northern Cass School Election
Voters in the Northern Cass School District have approved a levy increase that would pay for safety and security upgrades. The vote in Tuesday’s election was close: 221 in favor with 208 against. The levy increase will be up to 5 mils for a maximum of five years. This new levy would pay for updating cameras in the school and school buses, new safety locks and door handles for classrooms, building a fence around the playground, bulletproof glass for the school’s front entrance and new keys for the entire school building.
Also on Tuesday, Travis Moser and Penny Johnson were re-elected to the Northern Cass School Board.
