Nutrition policy and education a focus at American Sugar Beet Growers Association meeting

R&J Ag Reporter Nick Revier was in attendance at the American Sugar Beet Growers Association meeting in Orlando Florida earlier this week, and caught up with guest speaker and Sugar Association member Courtney Gain who discussed nutrition policy surrounding sugar. Gain tells us more. 

Gain says that education behind sugar has improved over the years and that more and more people are becoming aware of where sugar comes from. 

While more and more people are learning more about where their food comes from, including sugar, Gain says people need to be aware of the false perception behind sugar and its role in a person’s diet.
