Polk County Deputy Involved In Accident

CROOKSTON, MN—Crookston Police are investigating an early morning accident Tuesday that involved a Polk County Sheriff’s Deputy.  The accident happened around 5:15am at the intersection of US Highway 75 and 3rd Avenue SW in Crookston.  Bowende Somde Eudes Ju Sorgho of Grand Forks was headed southbound on Highway 75 when he collided with Deputy Brittney Neil, who was driving west through the intersection in a patrol vehicle.  Both Ju Sorgho and Deputy Neil were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. No airbags were deployed and there were no injuries.
