Red River Valley Sugarbeet Crop looking “Strong” 

The 2024 sugarbeet harvest season is underway, and results have been promising. Joe Hastings of American Crystal Sugar says pre harvest has been showing the signs of a strong sugarbeet crop.

Hastings also discussed stockpiling and processing goals with the fall harvest fast approaching. 

Diseases like root rot were a major concern for producers ahead of harvest and planting, but Hastings says that there have been minimal cases of these diseases so far.
