Representative Jim Joy lays out Goals for 2024 

Minnesota State Representative Jim Joy made an appearance on the KRJB Kaleidoscope program last week to discuss the ongoing 2024 Minnesota Legislative Session. One of the things discussed was Joy’s goals for 2024 and Joy says that one his goals is to make the State of Minnesota more business friendly.

Joy also discussed the Safe and Sick Time Leave legislation that was passed in 2023, which makes it so employers must provide paid sick leave to all employees who worked at least 80 hours in a year for an employer in Minnesota.

Finally Joy says that the state needs to do a better job of not “punishing” business owners, because he believes that’s what recent legislation like the Safe and Sick time law have done.
