Running For Office

If you’re interested in running for office in your community–be it for mayor, city council or school board–applications are now being accepted.  Filing forms are available at your city office.  It’s required that you be a resident of your city for at least 30 days before the general election, at least 21 years of age, be eligible to vote in Minnesota and that you not file for another office.  There’s also a filing fee you’ll have to pay.  The deadline for filing for office is August 13.
