School Resource Officer Bill Signed into Minnesota Law 

Thursday afternoon Minnesota Governor Tim Walz signed a bill into law that clarifies the wording in a law from last year that caused agencies to pull their  School Resource Officers from school. The new law now clarifies  that officers are not school employees and are not subject to the same use of force restrictions as other school employees. Minnesota District 04B Representative Jim Joy says he is happy that St, Paul was able to come to an agreement. 

Joy also spoke on the importance of this bill and why it was priority legislation for him.
