Senate Democrats respond to threats to dismantle US Department of Education 

Democrats in the Minnesota Senate held a press conference on Tuesday afternoon to respond to threats made by the federal government to dismantle the US Department of Education. Senator Mary Kunesh (New Brighton) responded to these threats, and told us the financial impact this could have on Minnesota Schools. 

Senator Heather Gustafson (Vadnais Heights) highlighted other important programs used by Minnesota schools that may be on the chopping block if the US Department of Education were to disband.
