Senate Leader Mark Johnson talks 2025 State Budget, Bonding Bill, and Permitting Reform 

It’s been a busy couple weeks at the Minnesota State Capital, but things are only expected to get busier. Senate GOP Leader Mark Johnson says a priority for the GOP Caucus this year is to get the budget under control, and he tells us what needs to happen in order to do so. 

Senator Johnson says another goal for him in the near future is to secure funding for some projects across Northwest Minnesota through the bonding bill.  

One thing Governor Tim Walz mentioned early this month was the need for the legislature to address permitting, and Senator Johnson told us what he and his GOP colleagues would like to see in a bill that addresses permitting reform.
