Senator Johnson looking into Bill that would fine interruptive fans at youth sporting events
Minnesota Senate Minority Leader Mark Johnson appeared on the Kaleidoscope program on Friday to give an update on the ongoing Minnesota Legislative Session. One potential bill that caught headlines earlier this week would fine individuals up to $1,000 for interfering with a youth athletic event. Senator Johnson talked a little about this bill and says this is a bill he will be looking into.
If passed, the bill would also establish a special revenue fund in which all fines collected would be used to hire and train more referees. All fines would be issued by the Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission.
