State’s Target Bonding Bill not enough to fund water management projects in NW Minnesota 

The Red River Watershed Management Board (RRWMB) will be hard at work in St Paul over the next couple months, as they will be testifying and trying to secure funds for multiple water management projects across Northwest Minnesota. RRWMB Director Rob Sip fills us in on the legislature’s targeted bonding bill, which he says is “well short” of funds for projects across the entire state. 

Permitting reform was another thing the RRWMB has been pushing for the past few years, and bills regarding permitting have been introduced in the House and Senate. Sip tells us more about these bills and why the RRWMB believes reform needs to happen.
