Traffic Stops: The Do’s and the Don’ts
Traffic stops aren’t pleasant for both the driver, and the cops doing them. Traffic stops are also one of the most dangerous times for a police officer. Norman County Sheriff’s Deputy Brett Fetting explains why.
The best thing you can do after getting pulled over by a police officer, is doing what you can to make the traffic stop go as smooth and safe as possible. Fetting shares some things you should, and shouldn’t do at a traffic stop.
Fetting says there are also things motorists should do when approaching a traffic stop in progress, and that there have been a few incidents already this year involving motorists, and stopped emergency vehicles.
