Ulen Fatal Accident Update

Here’s an update to a story R&J News has been following.  A man from Lake Park has been arrested for DWI in connection to a fatal car crash Saturday night near Ulen.  The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to an accident in the 18000 block of 250th Street, northwest of Ulen, around 11:40 Saturday night.  When law enforcement arrived, CPR was being administered to 43-year-old Sonny Syverson of Ulen.  Syverson later died at the scene.  Since then, police have arrested 53-year-old Dean Thompson of Lake Park for first degree driving while impaired. Investigators are still trying to piece together exactly what happened at the time of the accident.
