‘Walk in the Park’, hosted by Aitkin County SWCD, set for April 20th in Aitkin

(Aitkin, MN) — The Aitkin County Soil and Water Conservation District is set to host their second “Walk in the Woods” community class and will focus on plant identification and invasive species on Wednesday, April 20th at 6:30pm from the Park behind Woock Field on Aitkin.

We caught up with Aitkin County Soil & Water Conservation District manager Steve Hughes and he spoke about the courses that are free and cover a wide range of conservation topics.

This class will cover Buckthorn and other common invasive species and how to identify them.

Pre-registration is preferred and can be done by calling the Conservation District.
