White Earth Infant Death
The White Earth Police Department is investigating the death of an infant in Rice Lake. On Wednesday, October 16, the White Earth Police Department responded to a call in Rice Lake for an infant who was not breathing. Law enforcement says they performed life-saving measures on the one-and-a-half month old child, but were unsuccessful. In a press release, The White Earth Tribal Police Department provided a statement saying “our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time and we encourage the community to keep them in their thoughts as well. At this time, we will not be releasing any further information.”
The White Earth Police Department is investigating this case with help of the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office, Naytahwaush Ambulance Service, Sanford Ambulance Service of Bagley, White Earth Mental Health and White Earth Behavioral Health.
