White Earth Tribal Police Arrest Two On Drug Charges
WHITE EARTH, MN—Two people from rural Mahnomen County have been arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop last week. White Earth Tribal Police tell R&J News they conducted a traffic stop on October 5 with help from the Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office. During the investigation, law enforcement found about 455 grams (over one pound) of methamphetamine and a large amount of US currency inside the vehicle. 41-year-old Aaron Winkleman and 36-year-old Angel Thompson were arrested and held on first degree drug charges. A subsequent search warrant was executed at Winkleman’s residence and turned up a firearm and about 13.6 grams of fentanyl. White Earth Tribal Police say they are working with several different agencies and more arrests related to this investigation are expected in the very near future.
