Win-E-Mac’s Jessica Strom named recipient of Presidential Award for Excellence 

Win-E-Mac Math teacher Jessica Strom has been named as a recipient of a Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching, which is a prestigious award that recognizes K-12 teachers committed to engaging students in mathematics. R&J News had the opportunity to talk with Strom about the honor, but first she told us more about her teaching career, and what she enjoys most about teaching. 

Strom also told us more about the award itself, and the grueling process of even being considered. 

Strom says the next step in the award is actually a trip to Washington DC, and she’s hopeful that she will get the opportunity to meet the President of the United States.
