Winger Woman Sentenced For Stabbing
A woman from Winger has been sentenced to 86 months in prison after stabbing a man outside a bar last January. 20-year-old Jayden Marie Ray was originally charged with attempted murder, first degree assault and second degree assault. She was convicted of first degree assault, while the other two charges were dismissed. On January 14 of last year, Police were called to Bobby’s Bar and Grill in McIntosh for a report of a man who had been stabbed and was laying on the ground outside in below-zero temperatures. According to court documents, the victim had at least 20 stab wounds on his face, arm, shoulder and lower back. Witnesses at the bar told police that they saw Ray stab the man until he fell to the ground. The victim was taken to a Fosston hospital and then transferred to Fargo. Court documents allege the victim assaulted two other men prior to being stabbed.
