Winter travel reminders
Winters in Minnesota and North Dakota can be harsh, and cars stranded in ditches are a common sight across the region. If you find yourself as one of the people stuck in the ditch, Carma Hansen of Safe Kids Grand Forks explains what you should do immediately.
There are some things you should do to prepare yourself before getting stranded, including the building of a vehicle winter survival kit, and Hansen tells us some items that you should include in all of your kits.
Most importantly, Hansen says if the weather is bad, and travel is not advised, the best thing you can do is stay home.
Other things you could do to prepare for winter travel include keeping your phone charged, and letting a loved one know that you are going to be traveling in case something does happen.
