10 Year Anniversary of Triple Crown Fire in Ada

ADA, MN — It was 10 years ago on this day – January 3, 2013 – where fire crews from all over the region were dispatched to Ada to help with a fire at the Triple Crown Elevator, which was right behind the KRJB studio. Crews from a number of counties helped to fight the blaze, which lasted through the night and smoldered for days. We take a look back at that cold winter’s night in 2013, as KRJB was in the middle of broadcasting a basketball double header, as well as covering the struggle to put the fire out.

No one was seriously injured in that January 3, 2013 fire. Triple Crown has since rebuilt, replacing the elevator with new storage facilities.
