North Dakota Game and Fish announces 2024 Spring Turkey Season

The North Dakota Game and Fish announced the Spring Turkey Hunting season for 2024, and said that they will be giving out  8,137 wild turkey licenses statewide, which is an increase of 725 from last season. 

ND Game and Fish says thirteen of the 22 hunting units have more spring licenses than last year and eight remain the same. However Unit 21 which includes Hettinger and Adams county is closed due to the lack of turkeys.

The deadline for applying is fast approaching and needs to be completed by February 14, and a general game and habitat license is required when applying. Applicants do have the option of having their general game and habitat license refunded if they do not get drawn in the lottery. 

In addition, hunters 16 and older must possess a small game license, or combination license, and first time turkey hunters  who are 15 or younger are eligible to receive one spring license valid for any open unit.The spring turkey season opens April 13 and continues through May 19.
