Odegaard Sentenced to 18 years in Prison for Murder of His Ex-wife
Anders Odegaard of Warren, Minnesota was sentenced to 18 years in prison on Monday for the murder of his ex-wife Carissa Odegaard back in August of 2022.
Odegaard murdered Charissa in front of their children after she stopped by his house to pick up the kids for church. An argument then broke out and turned physical after Andres struck and strangled Carissa.
Under a plea deal, Odegaard pleaded guilty to 2nd degree murder in the death of Carissa. Anders was given credit for 17 months served but will be required to serve at least two-thirds of his sentence in prison per Minnesota law. Anders could be let out of prison after 11 years at the earliest.
