Deng & Schiller named Mr. & Miss Basketball in North Dakota
Jocelyn Schiller and Deng Deng were named Miss and Mr. Basketball in North Dakota on Friday afternoon.
Schiller becomes the first player in Grand Forks Red River history to win Miss Basketball. She is heading to play basketball at the University of North Dakota.
Deng is the second player in program history for Four Winds/Minnewuakan to win Mr. Basketball. Jason Feather won the award in 2016. Deng will play football at the University of the North Dakota.
The awards are voted on by members of the North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association.
