Thompson stays undefeated with a 14-4 ND Class B Region 2 Baseball victory over Hillsboro-Central Valley in six innings Monday.

The Tommies (20-0) trailed after giving up three Burro runs in the top of the first. Chase Haffely drove in Tyson Leshuk and Kyle Haffely on a double to make it 2-0 HCV. Chase Haffely would come around off a Brayden Chenault single to make it that 3-0 score. Thompson would pile on ten unanswered between the first and third innings, never relinquishing the lead again. Both teams traded a run in the fifth, with the Tommies sealing the deal in the bottom of the sixth, scoring three runs off of four hits and a walk to finish the game.

Drew Overby picks up the win for the Tommies. Tyson Sundby and Elijah Smallbeck combine for the loss for the Burros who drop to 5-11 on the season. Thompson wraps up the season hosting East Grand Forks Sacred Heart on Tuesday. The Burros are also in action Tuesday as they host Ada-Borup-West before closing out their season Thursday hosting Park River.
