Something For Everyone Saturday at Hillsboro Days
Day three of Hillsboro Days has arrived and there are plenty of activities for all ages.
The St Rose of Lima Knights of Columbus pancake breakfast is already underway, serving at the church until 9am. Right after that the parade gets going at 9 down Caledonia Avenue. Be sure to look out for Rugby’s Bronco with the KRJB sign. Other morning activities include: kids activities at the courthouse lawn from 10am-2pm; the craft and vendor market along 1st Street Northwest, also from 10-2; the pie social at the Hillsboro Senior Center at 11; and the famous Vets Club Bean Bag Tournament, also beginning at 11.
Afternoon activities kick off with the annual fishing derby at woodland park from 12-2. Tours of the Plummer House Museum run from 2-4 and Toros Boxing at the Hillsboro Events Center goes from 3-6. The fan-favorite Super Human Pull also begins at 3 at Woodland Park. Late afternoon sees the barbeque competition at Railroad Park with tasting starting at 4:15. The night rounds out with the tractor pull at 5, broasted chicken at the Vets Club from 5:30-7, and the street dance down by the courthouse from 9pm-1am.
